Today, the Cass County CEO members had the opportunity to visit the Star Cafe in Beardstown, a locally owned and family-operated business!

Owner Lori Gabba gave the class a firsthand look at what it takes to own and operate a restaurant. She spoke candidly about the hard work and dedication required, as well as one of the challenges many business owners faceโ€”finding a healthy work-life balance.

Lori encouraged our members to follow their passion and do something they truly enjoy. She also took time to answer a variety of questions from the class, giving students valuable insight into the day-to-day realities of running a business.
