We had the honor of making Beard Implement Company in Ashland our first business visit. Two of the current owners, Suzanne Hobrock and Kyle Schumacher told us about the history of the company and how they became owners.
They spoke of the importance of going in to a business, learning about it, and understanding why they do what they do, before trying to make any changes.
Both also stressed the importance of having daily jobs within the company where they can oversee things as they enjoy their workdays.
Students learned the huge impact that attitude plays within Beard Implement Company. Education is a great foundation, but attitude is what creates opportunities. The attitudes of their employees have gotten them where they are today.
Thank you to Suzanne and Kyle and the staff of Beard’s for a great visit. Thanks also for the donuts and swag bags.
